Journey I

Hidden bays you never imagined existed.

A slow, full lap of Megisti — every cove, every cape, every story.

The round is the journey we recommend first, and the one guests return for a second time. It's a slow lap of Kastellorizo's entire coastline — roughly nine kilometres of limestone cliffs, hidden coves, and bays that don't appear on any GPS.

We stop where the water is right. For coffee off Cape Nifti, for a swim at Perastra, for a late lunch in the shade of the Red Rocks — and, on every full round, a stop at Návlakas Bay (the French Harbour): a deep inlet of turquoise water enclosed by red-and-white limestone cliffs that doesn't look like anywhere else in Greece.

Itinerary
Mandraki
Morning departure from the harbour. A five-minute warm-up along the town's painted houses, then a slow left turn past the castle.
Cape Ag. Stefanos
The northernmost point of the island. We hug the cliff to show you the seabed — still only twelve metres deep, but clearer than glass.
Perastra
Our favourite morning swim. A sheltered cove on the east coast where the water is ten shades of blue before 11am.
Cape Nifti
The easternmost tip. Strongyli lighthouse visible on the horizon. We slow and point.
Fokiali & Plakes
South coast caves. We cut the engine and drift. You can hear the cliff breathing.
Blue Cave
If weather allows — a ten-minute stop at the mouth. Inside later, as its own journey.
Návlakas Bay · the French Harbour
A long, narrow inlet on the southwest coast — turquoise water and red-rock cliffs unlike anywhere else on the island. We anchor and swim. Snorkellers ask to stay longer; we let them.
Cape Ag. Triada & Pounentis
The southern and western capes. By now the sun is west. We take it slow.

A full lap of our island.

The boat we recommend: Πήγασος, for the distance. Or Κυανόπτερη, for the slower pace.
